Huaxia Archaeology

Huaxia Archaeology, an academic journal founded in 1987 and under the supervision of Henan Provincial Institute of Cultural Heritage and Archaeology, is jointly sponsored by Henan Provincial Institute of Cultural Heritage and Archaeology and Henan Provincial Society of Cultural Relics and Archaeology. Its permanent column sections include field archaeological reports, archaeological relics research, archaeological theories and methods, archaeological techniques and cultural relics conservation, research on ancient Chinese characters, history of scholars and scholarship, and academic trends.

Since 2000, Huaxia Archaeology has successively won the title of “Top Twenty Social Science Journals in Henan Province” in the first, second, and third sessions of the provincial journal-rating competition, and First-class Journal of Henan Province, and 2002 Double-effect Periodical of China Periodical Phalanx. Moreover, it has been included in the list of “Core Journals of China”, “core journals of AMI Comprehensive Evaluation Report of Chinese Journals of Humanities and Social Sciences”, “RCCSE China Core Academic Journal”, “Chinese Humanities and Social Science Citation Database” of CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure), “Chinese Academic Journal Comprehensive Evaluation Database” and “Chinese Journal Full-text Database”. In addition, the Journal is also included in the “CSSCI Source Journal Extension Edition (2014-2015)”.

Huaxia Archaeology has also been awarded as “2013 China’s Most Internationally Influential Academic Journal” by China Academic Journals Electronic Publishing House, Tsinghua University Library and the Center for International Evaluation and Research of Chinese Academic Literatures.
